Never Miss a Wildlife/ Enviromental Day Again: A Free Wildlife Calendar
As photographers, nature lovers, and conservationists, our year is shaped by the stories we choose to tell. Some days—Lion Day, Earth Day, World Ranger Day—carry more weight. They’re reminders of why we do what we do, and why these wild spaces matter.
I’ll be honest — I often miss these wildlife days. I’ll see someone post a beautiful image for World Elephant Day or Lion Day and think, “Ah, I would’ve loved to share something for that.” Not because of the social media pressure…but because these days give me a chance to pause, reflect, and say something meaningful about the species I spend so much time with.
And any excuse to dive back into my old photo archives is a good one. I absolutely love going through past images, rediscovering moments, behaviours, tiny details I’d forgotten about, maybe re-edit some as you see something different. These awareness days are often the spark that make me do it.
So I decided to make things easier for myself — and for anyone who feels the same. I’ve put together a complete Wildlife & Environment Awareness Calendar, covering all the major days dedicated to the species and causes we care about most.
From World Elephant Day to World Wildlife Day, this calendar highlights key moments throughout the year to celebrate wildlife, raise awareness, and spark conversation.
And because we all live busy lives, I’ve packaged everything into a downloadable .ics calendar file that you can add directly to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar — so these important days appear automatically, year after year.
Whether you’re a photographer planning content, a conservationist amplifying awareness, or simply someone who cares deeply about wildlife, this calendar is a simple way to stay connected to the bigger picture.
Here’s to feeling more connected, more intentional, and more excited to share the wild stories we love.
